Raising Better Temperament Staffords

They best way to raise a Stafford to have a loving carefree temperament is to show them. This is something that should be instilled into them from birth. Staffords have for some time now been labelled as aggressive dogs, this is an ignorance that can be changed by showing the opinionated the opposite, that Staffords are taught aggression, In some cases it can be bred in them, this can only be done by teaching the pup aggressive behaviour under the age of 12 weeks.

It has been proven that what a pup learns in the first 12 weeks of age can stay with them for the rest of their life. The first sign of dominance in a litter usually is a good indication of a strong willed pup that may show more aggressive behaviour. To maintain passive behaviour feeding in packs should be monitored, never encourage a pup to dominate another for food as this will always stay with them. The most important behavioural aptitude should be never rough up a pup to the point of no return, this includes rag pulling or stirring the pup to the point where it has lost its temper, this is a tried and true way to help with the public opinion of this georgous breed. Remembering the most important rule of all - the love shown to a Stafford always comes back two-fold and them some, what more could you want.
