What Treats Are Good For My Dog?

Fresh fruits and veggies are the best! They are low in calories and good for your dog. Dogs like bananas, apples, grapes, and carrots.  I always start my puppies out with small pieces of bananas for treats, and when I open the refrigerator, the big dogs line up in hopes of getting a baby carrot.


Stay away from dog treats from the grocery store.  Many of them contain by-products and preservatives that are not good for your dog. Chewy treats, like rawhide chews, can be very toxic. It’s much better for your dog to give them something you’ve prepared, even if they’re homemade cookies, in moderation, because at least you know exactly what ingredients are in them.
