 Soft and Strong October 27, 2008
Dog Hemp Harness, Apple Green Medium / B000OBFM2Qbr /br /So soft and strong, this harness is easy to adjust and my puppy seemed to get used to it pretty quickly. It's great for outings, especially to the dog park, since I don't have to worry that he'll half-strangle himself tugging against his collar. br /br /When we first got the harness, it was too small for him, but he's grown into it nicely. The entire harness seems very sturdy - the loops and clasps are all very strong and nothing seems cheap or flimsy. I notice that some people said their dogs chewed through the hemp, but we haven't had any problems... Of course, puppy tried to mouth at the harness the first time, but a couple of "Leave It!"s later, and we were happily on our way. br /

We love this harness. Our short haired 60 pound fella was always getting rubbed raw by the regular harnesses. We finally found this one - and for the price we figured we'd give it a go. Turns out,it's super cozy and durable. He's very happy with it and we are too! Highly recommend this for any size dog.

I suppose this could also be considered a comment on Amazon's web review programming, which just sent me this link to review a product that I had actually returned for a refund weeks ago.br /The harness was soft and expertly crafted, but could not fit our dog. Perhaps the one we got was cut wrong, but then I would hope that they insure each one is cut the same for quality purposes... so now I'm conflicted (sigh).br /Anyway, the loop for the torso fit just fine, and would probably reach around a watermelon. But the loop for the neck was only adequate for a large avocado, even after adjustment. Poor Maggie gave a short impression of "bad facelift" when we tried to slip it on over her cute little Beagle skull.br /As I mentioned in the form when I returned it, it seems better sized for a highway traffic cone than a dog.br /

The harness for my dog is soft, and seems to be durable. However, it does not fit as snugly as I had hoped. It is quite nice! Thank you!!

I don't understand the negative reviews. This harness is extremely well-made. The stitching is beautifully done. The hardware is high quality. The quick-release buckle is permanently near the top, not hitting my dog's elbow like some brands. It is also so easy to squeeze, yet completely secure. Some of my dog's collars hurt my fingers trying to squeeze those buckles. And so soft!! Not like the harsh nylon ones I've tried in the past, which my sensitive Boxer hated. Of course if I let him start gnawing on it, it would quickly be ruined. Just like every other harness, nylon or leather. Like his nylon leash that has a knot now to strengthen a weak, chewed spot. And the color is gorgeous on my fawn boy.
