Product Description Programmable feeder dispenses meals up to three times daily for better pet health 10-pound holder dispenses portions from 1/4 cup to 2 cups, as programmed Battery-operated unit requires no electricity or interaction to function Some studies have shown that feeding your pet smaller meals over the course of the day can prevent pet obesity and lead to better health. Unfortunately, most working people can`t get home to feed the dog at lunchtime, and many will forget to put out his breakfast in their rush to get out the door in the morning! Make sure your pet is fed regular amounts on a steady feeding schedule with the 10-Pound Portion-Control Feeder, a programmable, automatic pet feeder that dispenses portions from 1/4 cup to 2 cups at up to three selected times per day. The LeBistro Portion-Control Feeder is powered by Three D batteries(sold separately).

Frees up your schedule November 19, 2008 We purchased the Le Bistro because our cat was waking us up hours before normal feeding time each morning. Le Bistro was fairly easy to program once we got the hang of it and feeds her exactly 1/4 cup each morning and evening at the exact time we programmed. br /br /While this does exactly what it says it will, our cat still wakes us up in the morning to get fed. I don't think she understands that we don't really feed her anymore!br /br /Pros:br /-Frees up your schedulebr /-Feeds correct amount(helps with weight loss)br /-Reliable br /br /Cons:br /-Cat can get food out using her paws or just knocking the machinebr /-Battery poweredbr /-Cat is still waking us up :(
A little confusing to program, but a great product. November 19, 2008 I really like the feeder. At first it was a little hard to get used to, trying to program it, but once you get the hang of it, it's awesome. My cats love it. When they hear the feeder dispense food they run to the laundry room to get it!
Good product, GREAT service November 13, 2008 We also experienced a problem with the digital display within the first month. Amazon was GREAT....I just notified them and they immediately shipped out a replacement BEFORE I returned the defective one. We had it within 2-3 days. Amazon not only had the best price but the best service.br /br /We also agree with other reports that small kibble is dispensed at quantity greater than requested. However, it is such a great device to wean kitty off of human feedings. She waits for sound of machine dispensing food and does not "ask" to be fed. Also great when kitty is left home alone for a few days!
I can now sleep in on Saturday November 12, 2008 I've had it for a month. So far no problems. I will most likly always need to pull out the directions when I need to program the thing. Sometimes I still dont get it with the directions in hand. Day 1 I though my cat was going to paw at the food in the clear container but he let it be when he realized he couldnt get at it. He goes running to it every time he hears the food come pouring out. No longer is he waking me up for food.
A pain to program, and dead within a year. November 9, 2008 This thing is pretty terrible. Programming it is an obscure ritual requiring the manual every time (and I make my living as a software engineer). And every time the 3 D batteries die (every month or two!) you have to reprogram it because it loses everything. Don't misplace that manual!br /br /Oh, and then there's the problem that it was dead within a year. We actually gave up on using it as an automatic feeder after about 6 months because the programming was so annoying, and the thing is really noisy. But the other day I decided to give it another try. I put brand new batteries in it, and it won't even turn on--totally dead. This thing is a piece of junk, don't buy it.
