 Wish it had more padding September 9, 2008
I purchased this mat at the same time I bought a crate for my puppy. The size was perfect for the crate, but I was disappointed that mat was so thin. It provided no cushion for the bottom of her crate, or warmth for that matter. After a few washings it started to show wear. It didn't last long, about 3 months, and I have since switched to an old blanket. My dog seems to like that a lot better.

I got this for my 16 year-old cat who is extremely picky. She absolutely loves it! The funny thing is that she purrs when she sleeps in it, which is something she rarely does. I can't believe how much she has taken to it.br /I would recommend putting some cat nip in the bed when first introducing it to your cat as a way of letting your cat know its for them.

I had a cat bed before, but it seemed that only one cat, (out of three) enjoyed sleeping in it. I lost him some time ago, and since that was 'his' bed, he was buried in it.br /br /Was doing my usual pet supply shopping at a local store, where they had pet beds on sale. I figured why not, and I bought one. br /br /Brought that one home and there seemed to be some interest in it, but immediately noticed that my two remaining cats didn't come close to fitting in it! Don't know what I'm going to do with that one...br /br /Seen this bed on amazon, (measured my cats), and decided to give it a try. When I got it, I tossed it up on the bed and one of my cats took right to it! Of course he's got that kind of personality...br /br /He actually slept in it all that day, and sleeps in it every night now. And it's plenty big enough for my 18 pound cat to cuddle up, or stretch out and roll over.br /br /My other cat hasn't had the chance to try it out yet, and probably won't knowing it belongs to the other cat now. So I guess I'm going to have to order a second for my other cat now. Will probably try the other color so each will have their own. br /br /Just my luck though, the other cat won't like it, will continue sleeping on my pillow, and the other cat will have two beds to choose from!
Awesome cat bed! January 31, 2008
I bought two of these for my two cats. The older -14 yr old- one loved it and immediately took to it, but my 1 yr old kitty does not like it at all. He won't even step on it. I guess it's a matter of luck and knowing your cat's tastes. The older one likes this furry fabric -he used to sleep on a chair I had covered with this fabric- and he always likes to sleep on top of something, be it a magazine, a newspaper, or even a piece of paper. But the kitty thought it was a toy and started attacking it. Great, well made product overall.
