I took in a cat that was used to going outside. She managed to tear through 2 screen doors in about two weeks. I took a chance and bought the small pet door. It was very easy to install. My boyfriend just placed the pet door in the corner of the screen door (where she had ripped it). He snapped the two sides together through the screen. Then he cut the screen around the door. No muss, no fuss. It was installed in about 5 minutes. I had to push the cat through the pet door about three times before she learned how to use it. Since I installed this pet door there have been no more torn screens, Yeah!
