Satisfied in Amityville September 8, 2008 FURminator Large Yellow deShedding Tool with 4-Inch Edge
Great on our Aussie and cats...just ordered the smaller version for the cats. The fur just keeps coming off...maybe not like the mountain as shown in the ad but, significant amounts of my Aussie's undercoat were easily removed and she enjoys the process.
It does the job that it says will do September 7, 2008 I had seen a video advertisement, I borrow one from a friend, tried it and seen the results I order one. Amazon's price was quite a saving from the stores where available. I certainly recommend it.
FUR-iffic product September 7, 2008 Okay, so we have a Corgi that sheds like crazy. (After we got him as a puppy, we were a little surprized and distressed to see this breed pictured on all the products for "heavy shedding dogs" at the pet supply store - yikes!) Our review is similar to others... we've tried everything, nothing ever seemed to get it all, it took so long, my dog hated being brushed...all true. But our dog will sit for this brushing time with the FURminator, and SO MUCH undercoat comes out. It honestly seems like it really feels good to him to get rid of all that extra fur, esp during the seasons when he is blowing his coat (spring & fall.) Try it - it's great.
Whole lotta hair! September 7, 2008 A friend recommended this to me, knowing I have 3 dogs and 6 cats....Well, this thing is awesome! I really need the time to brush each one extensively, but just a few strokes in 3 or 4 minutes does wonders! I bought the medium so I could work on both the 3 big dogs as well as the cats. You WILL get a grocery bag full of hair (if you spend more than 3-4 minutes of course)!! Their coat feels so good afterwards too. I'm hoping it will help my outside cat have less mats in the winter by getting out the undercoat. It doesn't seem to bother the animals any more than being held to be brushed with any other brush. Most of them love to be brushed anyway. I figure with that many animals, any hair I can get out with this brush outside (which is more than any other I've used) is that much less in my house!
It's pretty good September 7, 2008 This tool does help pull lots of my pug's extra hair off his coat, but it's awfully sharp & I have to be reeeaaally careful not to hurt him. Also, you need another brush to go over the dog right after using the tool to pick up all the hair it pulled out (or it'll be all over your house!). Glad I got it, but could be better.
