ADVANTIX IS THE BEST WE HAVE FOUND FOR OUR CATS AND DOGS. WE LIVE ON 500 ACRES OF WATERSHED AND UNBUILT LAND ALL AROUND US SO TICKS, FLEAS, AND MOSQUITOS ARE EXTREMELY BAD. THIS WORKS ON ALL GREAT!

Used Frontline...it didn't work. Been using Advantix for 6 months now...works beautifully...no fleas, no ticks, no mosquito bites, no reaction. My dog is a 6yr old terrier mix, 11 lbs. and happy...so am I :) I use the 11-20 lb. application.

Here i sit with my 1 1/2 year old Japanese Chin 8 hours after Advantix application. br /When the time came for us to have quiet time, she came to my lap and i noticed she was shivering and staring into space. She is now hyper and will not rest, even though it is 3am. br /She continues to shiver and prance, holding her tail awkwardly. Another oddity is when i pet her she jerks her legs.br /There were no other variables to her day. i became concerned and searched if this med has reputation for causing adversities. YES! Please read about the effects beforehand and your will find other reports of reactions!!! Beware of the risks! August 21, 2008
Within 2 hrs of applying this product to my 2 year old 19 lb healthy dog, he began shaking, crying and scratching out-of-control. After 3 days, 2 baths, 2 trips to the Vet and one steriod injection by the Vet, his skin is still red and appears to have a chemical burn on the site of application. He still has sudden bursts of pain causing him to cry, shake and pant heavily. The manufacturer was contacted by the Vet and while they are aware of this type of adverse reaction, they provided little information for treatment or duration.br /If you choose to use this product, watch your dog carefully and be ready to act quickly if you notice any discomfort.
