 Gopher Probe - Bait Injector August 11, 2008
This tool and bait really work like a charm. I followed the provided instructions and my gophers asappeared, after I had tried other methods and product without success for several weeks.

I bought this product based on the previous review. I was not steered wrong. I had a very agressive gopher family in my garden. Within 3 days of my spotting the first gopher mound they had destavated about 50 square feet of new plants. Every morning I saw new mounds and fewer seedlings and vegetables. I received the product on a Thursday afternoon and applied the bait that evening in a what I though should be a run outside of my garden. I wondered how easy it would be to tell it you had entered a tunnel - but I shouldn't have worried - it was quite obvious and the bait won't release unless the head is in a hole. Next morning, no more gophers. I did dig up the runs and mound within my garden as I was concerned about leaving any rodent bodies with Strychnine in them where my food source was growing. But I never found them so they obviously crawled off into their "den" to die.

Over the years, I've tried traps, smoke bombs, flooding with hose, and even a bunch of those battery operated electronic gadgets that supposedly repel gophers. Occasionally, I've used poison (applied by hand thru a funnel) but they always come back in a day or so. This product allows application of the poison to where the actual gopher runs are. My yard is now free of the furry pests, after only a couple of days. They'll eventually come back from the neighbor's yard, but I'm ready.
