3 out of 5 stars Good product, I suppose...   November 14, 2007

My vet is a good vet, and he gave this to me to use to clean my dog's ears last time I took her in for an ear problem. I have been using it as directed in my dogs ear for the last few days. So far, there has been little improvement. But at least it smells nice, doesn't seem to cause pain, and it might also be preventing the ear problem from getting worse. br /I have ordered some Zymox Otic (with hydrocortizone). It is one of only two over-the-counter products I can find to treat chronic ear problems that everyone seems to agree WORKS. Look it up if your dog has chronic ear problems. Currently has 49 positive reviews on amazon dot com, and zero negatives.

5 out of 5 stars Great Ear Cleaner   October 20, 2007
This is a great product. I use it on my cocker spaniel. Cockers tend to have a lot of ear problems because their ears are long, and this cleaner does the trick for him. It has a strong but not-bad apple smell.

3 out of 5 stars Good smell, Good clean, but there are better alternatives   August 14, 2007
The smell of the product is nice and fresh like apples and the cleaning power is good overall, but I wouldn't recommend it for ears that are very problematic.br /br /For regular mild cleaning this product is nice to use, but for those of you looking to get something for ears that are normally greasy, itchy, etc., try Veterinarian's Best All-Natural Ear Relief Wash Dry for Dogs Cats (Two 4-oz bottles)br /br /Our GSD had very greasy ears that would itch and get re-infected time after time, no matter what ear solution we used...though the vets seem to like the "Virbac" brand name. The vet even prescribed something steroidal to get rid of the infection initially.br /br /As soon as we got rid of the infection, it would come back again and again and we would wash her ears 3 times per day to try to keep her sane. We then came across the product I referenced above (It's also available in single bottles instead of buying a wash and dry formula) and the problems with her ears are now a thing of the past and she hasn't had an infection ever since we started using the product.br /br /
