Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Clumping litter made from all-natural, whole kernel corn. Highly absorbent proteins and fibers found naturally in corn bind cat urine and odor molecules in the litter. This extra strength formula contains a plant derived, natural scent that helps keep litter fresh for multicat use. Biodegradable and nearly dust free.

1 out of 5 stars Turns your home into a Greyhound bus toilet.   August 29, 2008
"World's Best Cat Litter"? The name "Piss Corn" would more authentically describe its performance. Perhaps those who rate this litter highly had their cats dump in a litterbox of Cheerios previously...

5 out of 5 stars Truly the best liter.   August 28, 2008
I never worried much about kitty liter before as my adult cat used the pet door to go outside. That all changed when I recently adopted some abandoned kittens. I purchased a large liter box for multiple cats. The liter box manufacturer stressed the importance of using clumping liter. I tried the standard brands that you find in the stores and found that they did not clump around urine. I read about this product and ordered the extra strength version to make sure that I had the best chance for success with the new liter box. The results were great. The liter has a pleasant smell and it clumps better than anything else that I have seen. It contains no perfumed crystals but will keep oders down if the cats do a good job of covering their business. I have a roll-away box so I just rock it back and forth a bit to kill any unpleasant smells. The only thing I would warn you about is that the clumps look like some sort of dog treat and my dog thinks that is just what they are. Bottom line is that I have already reordered and will continue to do so.

5 out of 5 stars DOES NOT SMELL!!!   August 22, 2008
When you first open the bag, there is a smell of fresh horse food, but as soon as you put
a portion of the litter in the box, there is no smell at all.
I am grateful to this litter for not having some horrible perfume smell that when mixed with
animal feces is sickening.
It is also flushable where most are not though they say they are.

4 out of 5 stars The only litter I'll use   August 19, 2008
Clumps well, almost as good as clay litter - I've noticed that if you shake the urine clumps too much, they can crumble apart a little. Just something I noticed when I first started using it, doesn't happen to me anymore.

It's not harmful if swallowed (it's corn!), which is great if you have newborn kittens who don't know any better or have dogs that eat from the litter box if they get into it. No worries about your cats cleaning their paws and ingesting harmful clay litter either.

Although there are no perfumes, it controls odor really well. It smells like corn when you first pour it out but then the smell goes away after a few hours and doesn't really smell like anything. It's nice to walk into the room and not have to smell that overly perfumed clay cat litter I used to buy.

Yes, it's expensive but it lasts a long time. Just to give you an idea of how long it lasts, I have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes that get scooped about twice a day. The 34 pound bag lasts me an entire month without getting smelly. I keep the litterboxes in my master bathroom and just scoop it into the toilet whenever I happen to be using it. It's soooo much easier than scooping them into plastic bags and throwing them outside!

The only drawback that some may find is that cats can track light colored dust in the immediate area. I changed my mats to a light color and don't notice it and it doesn't bother me at all.

2 out of 5 stars My three cats and I object to the smell - but clumps great   August 14, 2008
Definitely does not live up to its name. Though it clumps as well as the best of them, I do not like the way it smells even before it is used. It does not control waste odor well at all. And perhaps most importantly my 3 cats didn't like it either!

For environmentally friendly alternatives that do control odor very well, I recommend "Swheat Scoop" litter (pleasant smell) or shredded paper (good use for junk mail) combined with a product such as Kitty's WonderBox Disposable Cat Litter Box.
