 Great bag! December 12, 2008
I have recently added a little rescue Morkie to our family and he was a wild man on a leash but was great when held. I purchased this sling bag so that I could take in out and he would feel safe and secure. It worked like a charm! I knew he wouldn't go into a traditional doggy purse and didn't want to confine him too much. This bag allows him to see the world and also be safe and secure. There are 2 hooks inside the bag that can be attached to a HARNESS that keep him secure and I would highly recommend they be used along with the clip on the top of the bag which give it stability. For the winter I made a fur lining to help keep him warm but unless you are very crafty and sew I wouldn't purchase with the idea of adding a fur lining. Since adding the fur I have received a lot of compliment and questions about the bag which is very cute with the fur lining. When we have been out shopping he will get so comfortable that people don't even realize that I am carrying a dog inside my bag. The strap which is adjustable does rub on my neck so I always wear either a hoodie or jacket that I can tuck the strap under so it. I would not recommend trying to carry a pup any larger then about 7 or 8 lbs max. It would have been great if there were a few useful pockets for things like my car keys, wallet and cell phone that are found on the more expensive bags. The one pocket that can be seen in the picture isn't even large enough to hold a credit card or even a few treat so it is basically useless. This sling bag is a great choice if you want to see if your pup will allow you to take him without spending a whole lot on money.

My only concern with the sling is the bottom. I feel it should have more support. My dog is only 7lbs and could jump out but is getting used to it, he was not crazy about it at first. Now he seems to enjoy it as he gets to go to restaurant patios and will stay on my lap in the sling. Still fights being "put in" and then will relax. All in all, I like it and do use it.

In my opinion the Outward Hound Sling-Go Pet Sling is falsely advertised. It advertises to accomodate pets up to 2o lbs., but was extremely uncomfortable on my shoulder for my 14 lb. Shih-Tzu. The package even advertises a Shih-Tzu in the sling! Do not let the advertising fool you. It may work for a much smaller pet.

This is a great way to tote your pet around. The strap is adjustable and durable. Other pet slings that I have seen collect pet hair, however this one does not. Its perfect
