Lasted longer than other toys, but was eventually vanquished. January 4, 2009
I bought this for my boyfriend's heavy-chewing pit bull lab mix. He normally chews through everything but Kongs. I got him this because it claimed to be indestructible.br /br /Well, Roby the fearsome chewer certainly LOVED this toy. He seemed to like that it was squishier than his Kong, and he kept tossing it around to watch it bounce. However, after an hour, puncture marks began forming, and after a day he had chewed the end off of it. I took advantage of the one-time-replacement guarantee and got him another, but again that one only lasted a day or so before he gnawed off the end.br /br /Exasperated, I went to a pet store and bought the bone-shaped Kong...and that lasted much longer. He had that for almost a month before destroying it.br /br /My advice: go for the Kong bone if you have a severe chewer. If you have a moderate chewer, or if you're very particular about using recycled materials, go for the Hurley.
