Default dalmatian in an apartment?

I was wondering if a dalmatian could live in an apartment happily? I've researched and it said with A LOT of exercise outside it could be possible...but is it really? is 2 or more hours enough exercise?

In my opinion, I would say no. But that's just my opinion. I personally wouldn't be able to handle a dog that big & energetic in an apartment, but you may be able to handle it just fine.

Personally I would say no, a Dalmation is a very energetic dog, needs plenty of exercise and stimulation...Plus that long tail can be lethal...

Oh, no. Unless you are talking about an 1,800-square foot apartment with a doggie door to a big fenced-in backyard!

My college boyfriend had a dalmatian in an apartment and the dalmatian was SO unhappy in a small space...and made everyone else unhappy, too (lots of chewing and barking and hyper stuff). Thank goodness his parents could take the dog.

Not unless you want your apartment wrecked. Just like all working breeds, Dalmatians have too much energy for an apartment. The only large working dog I know of that would thrive in an apartment with an hour of exercise a day is a greyhound.

IMO, I would not recommend a dal in an apartment unless you can devote a good 6 hours a day to outside activity... The love running at top speeds, playing, jumping, running.... they need about 45 minutes to just go at the start of each day... Id vote against it.. but again that is just my opinion. I sometimes think our 2 acres isnt enough for our Dal.
