My uncle has this kind of dog, and she is the cutest thing ever. I have heard bad things about them. All I ask is that owners of these dogs tell me what they think of this breed.
My parents now have four of these; all males. They used to have just two, and they were very territorial. Whenever my parents were in town, I always had the problem of the dogs marking spots by peeing around the house.
I have a Jack. They are BRILLIANT dogs. But they are also very active (to the point of being hyper) and inquisitive. sometimes when they're bored they get destructive (she's chewed holes in some of our doorframes, etc), so they aren't great apartment dogs, despite their size. Then again, they are also diggers and jumpers so they can get over or under many fences, as well.
But, they are super smart and loving and strong and protective and very loyal.
