I have a sweet natured neut labX and a rescue has a female 16lb pomeranian that needs a good home and they said she is not alpha and is nice natured. Do any of you have a pom and a larger breed dog? I also wonder if all poms are yappy, they claim this one isn't. Thanks for any advice, I love having a larger dog to train and go hiking with etc but I also enjoy small dogs, used to have Jack Russells but afraid one might be too bossy with my dog as he is so sweet.

not all poms are yappy my dog Cheeto, Pom X Chihuahua is quite, Cheeto did live with a large dog, they where great together, the only problem that I had was that my big dog would step on him all the time, it took about 2 weeks for the little guys to keep his distance!

I would bring your dog down to the shelter to let the 2 of them meet.
