How many of you guys own a JR? My older sister owns a 6 month old.

ANY advice on raising them and training? What about housetraining them? My sisters won't tell her when she needs to go outside. The JR just pees and poops in the house!

I have a JRT and she is now 7 years old. We crate trained from the beginning, and because she could fit in the palm of my hand when we got her, and we got her Dec 31st, it was so damn cold, and snowy, we did paper train her. She did fine, and in the late winter and early spring, she learned quite easily to go outside. We never had a problem of her missing the papers and when we taught her the outside thing with treats and alot of praise, we did not ever have a problem with her going inside. She still sleeps in her crate at night, and if we stay up watching tv, she just goes in all on her own, the crate is in our bedroom, and that is on the other side of the house from the tv. That crate is her quiet spot, still.
When my 19 year old daughter can scan pics, I will show you what she looked like then as to now, what a difference!

My sister crates her JR but it still goes in the house. I guess patience is all that she can do right now. Thanks for all the advice!
