There is only 3 kinds of Dachund.Longhaired, smooth coat and wirehared and there is only 3 sizes and all the above can be in any of these sizes

Size, Proportion, Substance
Bred and shown in two sizes, standard and miniature, miniatures are not a separate classification but compete in a class division for "11 pounds and under at 12 months of age and older." Weight of the standard size is usually between 16 and 32 pounds. They can come in alot of colors.
my mom breeds Dachshunds and she has be breed for 30 years maybe long I am 30 she has always had this breed of dogs.

Default dachshund standard

I think you have missed my question all together. I am not looking for a miniature dachshund but rather a standard. I currently show and raise miniature doxies. Although they are a tremendous amount of fun. And I will never part from them. I still want a standard. I am looking for a long hair only in either blk & tn or red. I do prefer a dog over a bitch. It is my opinion that dogs show better. (This is my opinion)
This dog must come from a show breeder since my goal is to show.
