What am I?
Our new dog looks like a minature ridgeback. Is she some kind of mixed terrier? When she gets amped up her eyes spin like pinwheels and you better stand back.

We think Fiona is a year and a half old. She is 18" high and weighs 40 lbs. We got her from the rescue place. She had been brought back twice by other owners. It was impossible to get her attention when she was first brought home. I imagine the other owners brought her back because they didn't want or have the time to work with her. Fiona is a great dog! She probably does have some pit bull terrier in her. She seems slimmer, more delicate and springy than a pit bull terrier though. Thanks for the comments.

Look up pit bull terriers, they are a different breed from staffys. She could deffinently be one of those.

Thanks dumbogg. That is a good site. She has some of those characteristics. I was at the vets earlier today looking at the big dog chart and the Redbone hound caught my eye. She doesn't have that droopy look to her face though.

How small do mixed pit bulls come? She is 18' high and weighs 40 lbs but I can carry her crooked in one arm.

Thanks Raggs. I am still trying to find a minature ridgeback site. The only problem is she doesn't have that prominant ridge. Perhaps it vanished because she is mixed with some type of terrier.

Thanks Raggs, we sent some photos to a ridgeback site. That link is a good site too. I appreciate the help.

I agree dumdog, there are alot of variables. Those are good comparisons. I believe we have a "mixed dog" dog. Time to take her to the beach.

In the ridgeback forum they seem to think she has alot of ridgeback in her. Maybe a minature ridgeback kind of mix.
