Default I want a nice and active dog,but I don't know

what kind of breed I want. Any choices? The dog has to be a puppy, doesn't shed alot, active and nice. Also it has to be calm.

Smile I like the Maltinese Puppy for what your asking.

They're pretty laid back. Scott's Puppy Palace has 3 puppies left.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again! German Shepherds are the best dogs that anyone could ever own! Smart, easy to train, very loyal, and full of energy!

I was going to say Chihuahua but you said calm. Maybe a cat would be better for you dogs aren't too calm.

Labs, Black Labs or Chocolate Labs. They are calm but protective when threatened. Plus they are Sooooo cute!

do you want active? or do you want calm? a jack Russell/basset hound maybe?.......and don't get a lab like the lady said. they are spazes. go to a shelter and take a few for a walk, like test driving a car, see what fits best

Australian Shepherds are wonderful! Theyre very active, are pretty average shedders, learn quickly, and are very friendly. They also tend to form a very strong bond with theyre owner... strong to the point where they will want to be with you almost all the time. Ive heard of many people whom go to take a shower and come out to find the aussie waiting outside the door. XD Good luck picking a dog!

Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. Before you get a dog make sure you are willing to spend the required amount of time to care for and exercise a dog. Most dogs that don't behave well are deprived of exercise. Dogs that are allowed to get out and exercise are generally more well behaved. The GSMD is a great family dog....and they are large enough to keep people away.

i think it depends if you want a big or small dog. if a medium to a big size i suggest a pit bull. from my personal experience, my baby girl Tessie is the sweetest thing ever and never have i seen what people say about pits in her. she is not aggressive and never growls or barks mad. from my experience pits are very intelligent, loving, playful, obedient and very, very active. My Tessie is very calm as well and hardly ever sheds she is the greatest dog ever.you can show them tricks and they seem to learn very quickly. and not to mention they are gorgeous dogs.hope you find the perfect pup that fits into your lifestyle.Good Luck

go to a shelter if you dont care about it being pure bred and registered. even shelters have pure breeds sometimes. anyway.. sounds like a lab... or... collie... or.. maltese.. or ANY size schauzer or poodle. just go to the pound/shelter and look around there for one with the right personality and go from there!
