Default Is it true that a pure bred dog has no dew claws?

Okay The Only Reason I Asked Is Because Some Idiot Gave That As An Answer To Another Question. I Just Thought It Would Be Funny To See If Yalls Reaction Was The Same As Mine.

We sell pedigreed beautiful standard poodle pups. Part of the pups' early visit from the vet includes removal of dew claws. He does that when he docks their tails.I had a dobe once, yes she had her claws and they were a pain in the craw. However she also had her ears and tail and no one was every frightened of her.LOL our main poodle stud is black with the gold markings of a doberman. He is a 1 in 10 000 genetic throwback. Disbars him from show but he is a farm dog. Makes for beautifully coloured pups though!

No. Some breed standards demand them. For example, Beauceron and Norwegian Lundehund must have dew claws.

No; it depends on the breed.

I'm pretty sure that all dogs have dewclaws unless the vet mutilates them.
