Podenco
Or Iberian podenca (podenco). Originally bred for hunting and still used for that to this day in Spain. Unfortunately, the Spanish do not treat their animals with the respect they deserve, so many hunting dogs are abandoned at the end of the season. I take some of them in and they are the most friendly, loving, lively and faithful dogs I have ever had the pleasure to encounter. My avatar has my favourite podenca alongside me.

mine has to be an old english sheepdog. although the grooming is a bit intense, the hair grows just over an inch a month so its great to watch a fluffie woofie grow. mine is loyal, obidient (as long as no balls are in view) and makes me laugh every day.

How fun! I have 2 favorites!! LOL An old fav and a new one!! LOL
I have ALWAYS been a chihuahua lover!! They are not for everyone, but I love the itty bitty body with the GIANT size personality!! I love the short coat over the long...but Chihuhuas will always have my heart!!
My new fav.....is the Golden Retriever! The PERFECT FAMILY DOG! So, smart, loving and loyal! So passive to everyone! No aggression towards others like the chi's...LOL...but an all in all...BEAUTIFUL dog!!

My favorite breed of dog is so hard to narrow down because I like so many
But my top favorites are my current dogs: Zackie a minature Poodle and Sasha a mix. I love them both
My top 5 favorite breeds are:
1. Poodle (all sizes. I've had poodles my whole life)
2. Siberian Husky
3. Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler)
4. Chihuahua
5. Dalmatian
But these are my two favorite dogs in the world:

mine range from Aussies which I bred and raised in the 60's and 70's to Miniature Pinschers and Italian Greyhounds. With 11 Miniature Pinschers 1 Min/Germ Pinscher Mix one oversized Miniature Pinscher, 1 German Pinscher, 2 Italian Greyhounds and 3 Papillons in addition to a new Papillon litter I probably have to say the terrier family due to the Pinschers.

No I am not a Miniature Doberman, I was around 200 years before Karl Frederich Louis Doberman created the Dobie, and as for my friends the Manx cats, yes they are better at playing fetch than I am, I am a Miniature Pinscher. http://blackhawkkennels.webs.com/

The best breed ever has to be the English Setter. Ours is 15 years old and I have loved every single day with him.

my favorite breed
My favorite breed is the Border Collie. My dog is a Border Collie. I am using her for 4-H. She is very smart. She is learning a lot of nice obedience skills very quickly. I love her and would not trade her for any other dog in the world. My other breeds of dogs that are at least close to my favorite are:
Dalmations
Labradors
Australian Shephards
Blue Heelers( some)
German Shephards( like the way police work with them)
So there you go!
Oh, and about the Pit Bulls. There are some lines of Pit Bulls that aren't very bad. I almost agree with you, but only to a certain extent. People have a right to say what their favorite dog breed is without getting picked on( especially online on a Forum) A matter of fact, this forum is just labeled " What is your Favorite Dog Breed." So enough of ths subject because really it is off topic.

Miniature German schnauzer
We had a miniature German Schnauzer that died in 2003. She was my favorite pet. She weighed about 10 pounds and was a lap dog. She didn't chew like the dogs we have had since. She didn't shed. I miss her.

Personally, I am a very active person. I prefer Australian Cattle Dog, which is a very active one. My kids love them too. Though after my Australian cattle dog died last November, I didn't buy a new one. I have a 3 year old daughter and she loves to play. I know it would be dangerous for her to have an untrained Australian cattle dog which loves to nip at moving objects.

I think it depends on your lifestyle. I'm one for the open air and walking many, many miles. I have a Siberian Husky and find her to be an amazing animal, she is so switched on and very loving. Alot of hard work needs to go into a Husky.
Then my mum has a Bishion Freis, who likes her walks but not as much as me and the Husky.

pomeranians of all kinds
my favourite breed of dog is pomeranians. normal size or toy it dont matter to me. why because they show alot of happiness and personality. they also get along with cats n other dogs. i find it funny how possesive they can become and thy realy think thy are bigger than what thy are. i had to buy a another dog for my pom to obscess over to give me a break heehehehehe... ive heard the females are quiet in this breed but i have a male and new female toy pom so ill have to wait and see but so far yes the female is calmer than the male. next id choose the shih tzu or maltese breeds. third i cant think of any so those are my top breeds.
chow for now
chiky bailey shakira and sandy
