I am thinking of getting a dog and I have a 3 month old son...I really think German Shepards and German Shorthair Shepards are great I grew up with a shorhair and couldnt have asked for a more protective and loving dog. But I am thinking of getting an English Bulldog. Its not too big and the temperment is really great for a new baby to tug on. They take all the abuse and give nothing but attention. I hope that has helped your decision.

I suggest adopting a female submissive mutt, maybe one that has had a litter. You'll never know more loyalty.

I have a 11 month old american bulldog, and he is very playfull and energetic. He loves my 2 yrs old nephew that lives with me and he has never attack him or anything. I'm very surprise how american bulldog are very good dogs with kids, they love kids. My nephew pulls his tale, steps on him, jumps on him, slaps him, kicks him...etc and i'm always telling my nephew not to do it, when i should be worry about my dog reacting to it but my dog just gets up and walks and dodge every attack from my nephew
I recommend american bulldogs, scott bloodline type. It also depends if you want a big dog cause they get big

Labs! They adore kids. I grew up with one, our neighbour's toddlers would come poke her eyes, pull on her ears, etc, and she still covered them in kisses. We would joke that she'd make a good baby sitter, if only she could change diapers.
