Dog would be capable of jogging over 5 miles. Would not be hyper, and could get along with a male english mastiff.

Check out those animal shelters in town/city, you might be able to find a few dogs that fits your description. Hope this is helpful.

A whippet is great!Mine runs with me everyday and they need the exercise- most people think a greyhound - but they really don't, they are used to being kenneled until they actually race. vizslas are pretty good. they are a sporting dog that is meant to run all day without getting tired. they also make great family pets & are high energy, but NOT hyper.
