If you like smaller dogs a Pomeranian is the best one out there for you. Good companion, very protective of their caretaker and laid back.

most dogs if not all are faithfully and playfull especially when puppies, but ALL dogs have to be trained how to behave which takes alot of time and determination, whatever dog you chose PLEASE take time to research the breed as all dogs are hard work but all have different needs. good luck with whatever dog you decide to have, i am sure you will make a lovely owner.

well, you gave to little info, where do you stay, how big is your yard if you have,do you like a small breed or large breed, are you looking for a pet dog or a guard dog....?with regards to the digging scenario, not much you can do about that, all dogs dig from time to time, especially if they are under a year old. Dogs are like children, want to explore, and digging is one of those things. What you can do is to have a sand-pit in at your home for the dog to play in. I have Staffordshire Terriers, they are know for digging, but I give them alot of attention and play-time and exercise, cause a terrier left alone will become a terrorist. Like with Staffies you need to give them a lot of attention. It is also important to train your dog as a puppy and another important thing is the dogs bloodline, in a good bloodline you will eliminate things such as temper, behavior ext. Cheers
