I want a dog that is small- a lap dog. We have a big yard to run around in. I already have a cocker-dachshund mix and he's very mellow and calm. I want a sweet dog who loves to be held and has pretty much energy but not REALLY hyper. Do you no which dog breed would fit me and my family well?...we have no small children..thanks!ps- i'm thinking like a long haired dachshund or a little yorkie or yorkillon (papillon/yorkie)....something like that---thanks!

i have a teacup pomeranian who is only 4lb... some people say they are hyper and nippy and yappy, but my girl is not.. she's wonderful, knows when to play, when to sit still, and is a pleasure to have around... and we have a 24 lb pub who she dominates! so its really very funny... and she sleeps between me and my husband at night, so she is very cuddley

Hey, dogs can make a great addition as u already no beacause u have one. anyways we have a little girl beagle she is the cutest thing and loves to play. i am 12 and we play and stuff alot but then she gets calm and sleeps with me in my bed. holpe i helped

i have to say a Pomeranian, there great dogs i have had one all my life, they can be very laid back, or playful. they mostly get along with other dogs.
