What breed produces the biggest dog?

Those Irish Wolfhounds are pretty huge. Not real thick, but tall at the shoulder, long limbs, long body, long tail...

They're stomach high on a 6 foot man, and when they bark you can feel your gut rattle.They were bred in Japan to protect large tracts of land and as a silent fighting dog, the western breed is the biggest, Japanese breed is around 100-130 lbs. The western breed is thought to be crossed with the English Mastiff. Be prepared to spend some money on them, generally they sell for $1500-3000.
