Hi sexy!
I have a pet Akita, though i originally bought her thinking she was a fox, but lets not go there!
She is wonderful, loves close cuddles and me stroking her luscious fluffy coat! though the only down side is that to lick your balls you have to add pate or something to get her interested! apart from that great sturdy dog.
Love your pooch loving amigo

Mandi is right! What kind of dog you get is highly dependant on your lifestyle and personality.I have a shitzu, and a lab. My lab is soooo sweet. He is gentle and obedient.I personally like those traits in people and animals. What types of people do you click with? If you like strong or assertive types you might like bullmastiffs or terriers. If you like energetic fun types then maybe a poodle or sheltie. Anyway, you get the idea. This is a unique but effective way of deciding on a dog breed.

Keeshond! We have a 7 year old and no breed has a lovelier personality. They love kids, and people. They are easy to train, because they just want to make you happy. They are big but like being indoors as well as go for a walk, and are so companionable. Smart and funny too. They are barkers and have a shrill annoying bark but only when a stranger is at the door. If someone is let into the house they just want attention and petting. This makes them good watchdogs but not good attack dogs.Their coat needs a little upkeep but not as much as you'd think. The breed hasn't been ruined yet by unscrupulous breeders but always use care.

Get a boxer! They are so misunderstood but are the best dogs ever. They are absolutely wonderful with children and are tremendously intelligent.

Rottweiler! My Rottis were great! they were such loving dogs,a nd fabulous with kids! I Currently have a Bloodhound/Lab Mix and a St. Bernard They are both Great dogs! They are great around Small chicldren, and are such Lovebugs!!
The best way to determine the type of dog you want, is to Look at your lifestyle, and what you are looking for.
What is your energy Level? do you want a high energy dog? Or a couch potatoe
Grooming? Do you want a longhair, or short haired dog?
Size? do you want a large, med or Small dog?
just a few things to think about. Not all dogs are suited for all people. And you are going to want to make sure you choose the best kind of dog for you.
Good Luck in your search.
