Default I thought all male dogs had nipples, like people. My male maltese...

...doesn't. Is it an issue of breed? Just curious because he is the first male dog I've had without nipples.

I don't really know about that breed exactly but I have a Bichon Frise, which is relatively close to a Maltese. Pretty much in the same family and he doesn't have nipples either. Don't worry =)

I have a female doberman mix who has absolutely no sign of nipples. Not even a tiny mark where they should be, or a discoloration. She is also very short haired. But I also have a male hound who has very large nipples. I believe that because she was spayed at a very early age (8 weeks), that may have something to do with it. But is is not something to worry about!
