Default What is the best way for my family to choose which is the best dog breed for us???

We are ready to add a puppy to our family. What are the best resources for figuring out which breed is best for us? I want to try and do everything we can to pick a breed that is:--minimal shedding--stable personality--good with children--medium size--not agressive or territorial by instinct--friendly--trainable and intellegent--Enjoys/needs/wants excercise I would appreciate suggestions of breeds and resources.THANKS!

I may only be 14 but i think i kno a lot bout dogs. I think that the best dog that meets most of your standards would be a Yorkie, or a poodle! I have 4 yorkie-poodle mixes, and they are GREAT! They love kids and r easy to take care of!!hope i helped!!

you should get a golden retriever. however they do shed a lot of hair it they aren't brushed. if you get a longe haired dog it can be a good idea to get their fur clipped in the warmer months. like i said golden retrievers sound perfect, but beware they grow up and booster shots may get expensive. also you should be aware that if you go on holidays they'll need somewhere to stay.
