Depends on your location. You need to check with your local city government to see if they have limitations on the number of pets/animals you can maintain on your property. Also... 'Designer breeds' = mixed breed. That's all they really are. They can't be registered nor shown at regular events hosted by AKC. If you are serious about breeding, work with a reputable breeder first and learn the ropes.

So are you one of the new designer breed of humans? The Dumb-asses? I really think that you are.The world has enough mixed breeds, people do not need to be intentionally breeding more. If you want a mix go to a shelter, not a "breeder."To answer your question....to breed PUREBRED dogs you have to have AKC registered dogs that are of a show/breeding quality, that have passed all health and temperament tests before you even think of breeding them.
