Be careful with large breeds. They are much different that the Britt you currrently have. Large breeds cost more to initially purchase, eat more, have higher vet costs and are more expensive because they require larger doses of heartworm and other preventative medications. Watch out for congenital health problems - SAS, dysplasia, cystinuria, CERF, et al.That said, stick with a Golden Retreiver from a quality breeder. You could also check with a Golden Retreiver rescue service, such as Good As Gold, to locate an adult Golden. Remember, a quality breeder will thoroughly check you out to make sure you can handle owning his/dog dog. A rescue group might be a bit tougher, since rescue groups must ensure that the dog will go to a quality home.Goldens are almost people. They house break quickly and are easy to obedience train as long as you work with your dog. Goldens are loving, easy-going, playful, fun life long companions.Good luck!
