My black lab is perfect... she's getting old now but when I was in grade school and high school she would wait for me to come home on her little spot right by the window. But she was always calm very smart, potty trained in 10 days. She is the perfect dog.

you just described all dogs in time. All dogs have to be trained unless you go for a shelter dog who has a foster home and has already been trained. There are many who need loving homes that fit your qualifications

Be careful with large breeds. They are much different that the Britt you currrently have. Large breeds cost more to initially purchase, eat more, have higher vet costs and are more expensive because they require larger doses of heartworm and other preventative medications. Watch out for congenital health problems - SAS, dysplasia, cystinuria, CERF, et al.That said, stick with a Golden Retreiver from a quality breeder. You could also check with a Golden Retreiver rescue service, such as Good As Gold, to locate an adult Golden. Remember, a quality breeder will thoroughly check you out to make sure you can handle owning his/dog dog. A rescue group might be a bit tougher, since rescue groups must ensure that the dog will go to a quality home.Goldens are almost people. They house break quickly and are easy to obedience train as long as you work with your dog. Goldens are loving, easy-going, playful, fun life long companions.Good luck!

What about Golden Retriever dogs? They are really a fun dog to play with. They like play a lot and they're very humble to their owners. This dog have a very high skills in socialization. They weigh about 60-70 lbs. They are very big and easy to befriend. And besides, they're all so cute and easy to handle. And now that they're very loyal and friendly, it will be more easier for you to potty train him/her.I have 3 golden retriever dogs right now, they're really cute and friendly.Good luck on it though!

A border collie - one of the worlds smartest dogs, very easy to teach (mine knew over 60 commands before he was 1year old!) The are fine when left alone. But they do need alot of exercise! And yes they are very cuddly. There are also a few different colours - mine is chocolate but you can get black and white, honey and white, red and white, grey merle and white and then there is all the try colours as well!!! they truely are the perfect dog!!!!

I would say an American Bull Dog. My friend has one. Super Cuddly and Playful. he weighs about 90pounds. He is in a kennel when she is at work but is very good about it. Goes potty outside all the time. She has taught me that this type of dog is a very loving dog even though some people think they look intimidating.
