Default Dog breed restrictions in Ft. Lauderdale area?

I'm moving to the lauderdale area and would like to know what kind of dog restrictions they have when it comes to renting houses or apartments. I have a German Shepard and I'm concerned I will have a difficult time finding a place to live. I do not want to get rid of the dog, that's not an option.

There's no local standards for pet restrictions, you'd have to approach each rental on a case by case basis.
