They might be "Munchkins"---this is a controversial new breed, because some cat fanciers feel they are handicapped because of their short legs, and couldn't survive by themselves in the wild.

They are called munchkins & to be honest I don't think they should be bred. A cat should be able to run & climb as they like, not struggle to even trot. They wouldn't stand a chance outside, it's like purposely breeding handicapped animals, should be banned, ggrrr

Munchkin cats. They have heart problems though. You don't really want one, they are not good cats and have been imbred to keep the body type and shape. If you want a cat that will always be a kitten, then consider an Aby or Bengal. Bengals are adorable as kittens, but get more stunning as they grow older. Napoleon Cats is a hybrid breed developed from breeding Munchkins with Persian-type cats (Persians, Himalayans, and Exotics). And there is also the Ghetti cat that is a cross between a Bengal and munchkin. Seriously, these cats have terrible lives and should be avoided.
