Default What breed of dog should I get?

I'm thinking about getting a dog soon. I would prefer a small-medium sized dog. I used to have a pitbull and beagle. What breed of dog should I get?... Why?

Depends on your living situation. Beagles are pretty good all-around dogs.

Well it depends on what your looking for a dog. Are you looking for one good with kids? Short fur? Low exercise needs? Maybe you can check out dogbreedinfo.com they list breeds & pictures or you can check out http://www.hoflin.com/BR/BreedReviewsIndexIt has lists of dogs and what former owners like/dislike about a specific breed. Hope this helps

How about another beagle or picapoo. You can find a breed you like at puppies.com

First answer is very correct. I take pictures for a local "Humane Society" these are dogs that want love soooooo much and people are caught up it a paper thing, which I not go there as to how it manipulated. I had a full bred Border Collie from the humane society, damn good dog and was "Free": but no papers. There is a a man that show and compete these dogs and he was very impressed by my dog. Heck, once I happened to be in a town where they were competing and was eating breakfast and these guys bragging about how their Border Collie did this and that and won this ribbon and that ribbon. Finally I spoke up and said; "My Border Collie can round up a Sausage Biscuit faster than your dogs can scramble eggs"! They were speechless and knew they had met their match! :-D
