I have no idea what they would be charging for puppies or adults, but i used to know someone in Northern Minnesota who bred them. They are considered rare in the US because not many were imported from Norway to begin with (read small gene pool and subsequent genetic bottleneck and inherited diseases). I specifically remember some serious problems with losing protein into their gastrointestinal tracts. The puppies also seemed to be very frail and hard to get to survive to weaning at 8 weeks (at least in this breeder's situation).I agree with those who said DO YOUR RESEARCH before buying... because they aren't common... you'll have fewer resources to check facts with!
