we have a dog who is like a jack russel terrier but he also looks like may other breeds such as a brazilian terrier and many other terriers. we would just like to know what breed he is once and for all.

i had a question similiar to this one, but i actually emailed the kennel club and asked if they could get me papers for my akita so i could find out if she is a pure pedigree, they told me that there is a blood test that you can get done that will identify wether or not she is a pure bred, as evey type of dog has its own blood group, all akitas have the same blood group, all jack russels have the same, poodles have the same, i think you get what im trying to say here lol but good luck trying to find out what type he really is x

If he looks like lots of different breeds he probably is from generations back and the only 'breed' he could be classed as is a Pavement Special. These dogs are usually very faithful, fun loving, loyal and a delight to have in the family. Don't worry about his 'breed' just love him and enjoy his company.

I have a dog which looks like a miniature greyhound amd a terrier. It's called a whippet. I get that info from strangers!

No you can't tell a breed by blood group or any other blood test. I find it difficult to believe the Kennel Club would say all breeds have a different blood group!! Blood donors for dogs can be from any breed which is why there is a blood bank being set up for dogs. If all dogs had different blood groups what would happen to the cross breeds!Be happy with your dog and don't worry what breed/s it's from, he's your own individual breed.
