Default What breeds of dogs are good for a family of 3?

My family has a three year old girl named Kara. We live in a two bedroom apartment in California. My apartment allows pets in it.

Dalmatian, mutt, Golden Retreiver, just don't get a stinky cat, it could scratch the baby's eyes out

For an apartment you need a small breed dog. Pugs are great.

If your apartment complex allows bigger dogs I would suggest a Golden Retriever. They are really good with kids and are known to be very smart animals. They listen well, too.
