They used to be mainly German Shepherds but I believe lately Belgian Tervurens have been used increasingly.

German Shepherd or Belgian Malinois Drug dogs are often Labrador Retreivers because of their response to the rewards system that they are trained with. [they are "ball crazy"]

The expact name is a Belgion Malinois....Its a breed of German Sheperd, and they are all imported from Germany
