Default My apartment complex just notified me to move because of the breed of my dog.?

I have lived in my apartment for more than 2 years. Now after all this time the management has informed me that my dog is on the "restricted breed list" and I will have to move. There hasn't been any type of incident with my pet, but snce he's on the list... Other residents have been notified as well. Since our leases are up, and they don't seem to want to "grandfather" any current residents, do we have any options. Finding another place that will accept my pet is proving difficult, and I'm not getting rid of my old friend.

i love you for loveing your dog - because i wont give up mine either - with your leases being up there is no way to really fight it that i know of if it wasnt up i would tell you to ask to see your lease you signed stateing that your particular dog is not allowed to be in that apartment- just a paper with the list of dogs is not enough because there is no proof that they gave it to you to read - im guessing you have a pit maybe a doberman - only thing i can suggest is deny your dog is that breed, go to a vet and just get a check up and when the vet asks you what kind of dog you have tell him its a mix - i have a black pit i will tell people is a lab mix, and a red nose pit that i tell people is a retriever mix. - i hate to suggest this because it makes you feel like you arent defending your animal but ive done it to protect my animals - funny how my lab mix is the sweetest thing in the world but no one can stand a pit bull -
