| Why do people hate Puggles and Mix Breed Dogs!??
Are you guys just stupid or ignorant?? All dog breeds started off as some type of mutt or mix breed and most were inbred to reach a desired look, color, or standard. So why hate on these new mix breeds? A dog is a dog bottom line and all dogs in reality are mutts..the only reason they are considered a pure breeds is because they have been around for years and have maintained a standard through generational breeding. Get a life...and quit crying about how many mutts are already out there that need adoption because there are just as many pure breeds that need a home too...Im not talking to everyone just those who dislike Puggles and mix breeds..I'll admit I was pissed because I have seen many people on her saying dumb stuff about Puggles and Mix Breeds in general.. I probably shouldn't have said just anything about being stupi or ignorant...but it isa true..al dogs are essentially mutts,,,yes maybe a little of this was me ranting..lolOnce again for all of you crying about puppy mills...I know what they are and yes its horrible but just as many pure breeds get pumped out of puppy mills as mixed breeds do...I love all dogs and have no problem with mixed or pure bred my point is they are here and theres nothing you can do to stop it so why hate or dislike them??Im not a breeder..for the record.

Puggles and other mixed breed dogs aren't hated. Many people just really like a certain breed of dog and there for do not like when they are mixed with another type of dog.But along such lines. "Are you guys stupid or ignorant?" is a question. But this is not what Yahoo answers is for. Please don't post anymore statements or opionated questions about people's idiocy.

hmmm ok. I've never heard of people downing mix breeds on here. i have a two mixes and a purebred and i love them to pieces. i don't understand why you posted this...was it to insult people or bring light to some sort of injustice? regardless chill out...what does it matter what others think. if you went around yelling and lecturing every ignorant person, you'd get nothing done and end up immensely stressed.

The best/smartest dog I remember was one the family had when I was a kid, he was so protective, and was a shepard boxer mix. He wouldnt let any stranger get near us, and we lived in the country. If He didnt know you, or the car you drove, he wouldnt let you out! Funny though, he loved the mailman. He waithed for Him, because the mailman gave him treats. But god help the poor basterd that would want to hurt me our my sisters when we were kids! Dam, talking about this makes me miss Him!

Let me ask you this, you are telling people who dislike mixed breeds to get a life and yet, you took the time to ask this question and start to insult people who dislike mixed breeds? Everyone has there own opinion. But one of the main reasons people don't care for mixed breeds is that most mixed breeds usually are from breeders who are mixing dogs just to make money. The way you said "quit crying about how many mutts are already out there that need adoption" is sad, because it is an issue and most people aren't acting like mutts are the only dogs needing to be adopted. You sound like you have never even heard horror stories about puppy mills and where most mixed breeds are bred.

OHHH, I SO AGREE WITH HAPPY, I don't hate mixed breed dogs, just the BREEDERS THAT CHARGE PUREBRED PRICES. They are simply breeding for the MONEY. They do not care about the health issues, of these dogs. Just as YOU SAID, "the only reason they are considered a pure breeds is because they have been around for years and have maintained a standard through generational breeding", THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR!!!I've got some nice swamp land for sale in FL, you want to buy it? It will only cost the same as a build-able house lot, with road, water, and sewer access, it's a bargain, REALLY, HONEST!I have a mixed breed, but I got her from a rescue! I sure didn't pay $700.00!

Personally, I think that Puggles, like all dogs, are great! My objection to puggle breeding is the same as my objection to purebred breeding (except for purely working purposes like police dogs, seeing eye dogs) - it's not necessary and prevents homeless animals from getting homes!

I think part of Bucs_fans misunderstanding comes from not knowing people do not like mixed breeds but these individuals who have jumped on the fashion dog band wagon. Maybe if time was taken to research purebred dogs a better understanding would come out of it. Purebreds of today were specifically bred for a purpose and that purpose was not to look cute and fetch dollars for the breeders pocket. These "mixed breeds" that you describe are creating in many cases unhealthy dogs due to poor genetic testing. It is bad enough that all breeds carry some genetic flaws but to double the possibility by mixing them does nothing to create a healthy new breed. Labradoodles are fetching $100's of dollars over purebred labs so don't tell me that the breeders goal is to create a new breed that is better, they are only looking to line their pockets. As P.T. Barnum once stated "you nail two things together that have never been nailed together before and some schmuck will come along and buy it". That is all that is happening here. No different than downsizing every breed they can to call it a mini this or mini that and assume that the pups will be free of health issues in addition to those that the breed already carries. Before you assume that people are crying about mix breeds maybe you should ask why some do not like them instead of assuming to know and then become judgemental. As a former long time breeder I know the history of my breed and the genetic issues. I understand the concept and care in the breeding that is needed to produce a healthy dog. People assume as you appear to have done that all dogs are mutts due to mix breeding. What you do not know is that even 300 years ago those who took time to mix breed to create many of the purebreds of today at least knew enough about the breeds to know what they were doing and it was not to make money but to create a more perfect working breed of dog. So in my case, do I dislike mix breeds, hell no. I love them. Do I like mix breed breeders such as those I have mentioned, hell yes. Simply put they are breeding for the bucks not for any specific breed.
