no, it's still incest and it's still a high risk factor for unhealthy pups...now my girlfriend had a cat who had a litter and she kept a boy from the litter not knowing he was old enough to mate his mom and he did, the mom got pregnant and the kittens seemed to all the healthy according to the vet, but she really got lucky with that one....I once had a rabbit who mated with a cousin rabbit and believe it or not but all the babies from the litter died within the first two years so there was obviously something wrong there...please don't do it any professional breeder would tell you not to

Can you do it ? - Yes the bitch should get pregnant.Should you do it is a totally different question and if you are having to ask the question in this forum then the short answer is NO. This is called line-breeding and should only be done by breeders that have carefully researched the genetics behind both individuals, and that are conducting the breeding to bring out specific characteristics of the common ancestor. In doing this you will also magnify the undesirable characteristics of the common ancestor and have a high chance that very unfavorable recessive characteristics. Are you ready to cull puppy that may have problems that you didn't anticipate, and to be responsible for those puppies for life?

Imagine having a child with your sibling. Inbreeding results with different mutations and genetic illnesses because the chromosomes that combine are from the same DNA.It also results to psychical problems
