I'm trying to find out the name of a breed of dog. It is around the size of a spaniel with short tightly curled fur with long ears. The one I saw was chocolate brown coloured with soft brown eyes to match. I can only describe it as looking like a brown curly haired long eared teddy bear! Any suggestions?kind of looks like an irish water spaniel but smaller and fur is much more tightly curled and ears are smaller. Fur is same length everywhere, even on ears and face

It sounds like a coc-a-poo, a cocker spainel poodle mix. They are cute like teddy bears and come in many different colors.

could be a sussex spaniel, they are brown and have wavier hair. Where did you see it? could be you saw a mixed breed. check out akc.com.
