My question is close to same thing. We have purchased a dog that is UKC and we have AKC Labs. My question is can the dogs be UKC and AKC registered

are you referring to the United Kennel Club or the Universal Kennel Club?
AKC only recognizes, FIC (Federation Cynologique Internationale), CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) and UK (Great Britain Kennel Club). Breeds registered with this Clubs can be dual registered with the AKC.

before breeding there is an enormous amout of research that should be done to weed out genitics - hereditary conditions that may be transmitted to a litter. health tests for STD's & brucellosis, OFA & CERF testing at a minimum

is there some reason you think these dogs are even worthy of being bred? are any of them titled in field trials or conformation? there is no way to know if they even meet the breed standard, if they haven't been.

labs are a dime a dozen - they are being killed in shelters by the thousand. I would really give this some more thought.

I have been a breeder for many years and my husband hunts with these dogs. I was asking a question and don't appreciate getting a lecture on breeding responsibly. We have had 2 people call us about a dog in the last 3 months because they had gotten one previously. I was looking for information on Ukc and AKC dogs if they could be registered both ways.

sorry, no they cannot be registered with the AKC. Both dam and sire must be registered with AKC for offspring to be registered with them.
