breed good enough? Hey, it's me again. I love all your answers, but I want a big dog that doesn't shed much, too. My dad sneezes a lot because of this. HELP!

a big dog like a lab or shepherd may do but they still will need a DAILY brushing because ALL animals shed ok

Maan poodles are viscious. I saw them tear a head off a squirrel in my backyard. And they have this freaky look on their face all the time like they are on crack. I wouldn't advise a poodle unless you want a killer crack head running around your house. Poodles also shed curly thick hair that is really hard to vacuum up. You need to buy a commercial vac with 1000 horsepower to clean up after them. Don't get a poodle.

What about a Labradoodle, the mix of a poodle and a lab.Someone told me they don't shed at all, i don't know if that's true, but look into it.

the only two kinds i can think of that are big but don't shed alot of is Doberman and Great Dane, Dobies like to play and make great pets, but you need to get them as a pup, Great Danes, are couch potatoes, they LOVE to lounge on the couch, or anywhere, and cuddle but they kinda bored with playing, they'd rather lay their head on your lap. The only other big dog that doesn't shed, would be a large poodle, some kinds of poodles stand taller than a german shepherd, there' all different sized poodles.

I have a black lab and even when I brush her she sheds, especially after I give her a bath. My mom has poodles, they don't hardly shed. Standard Poodles are large dogs, they are very smart, and loveable.

I wouldn't trade my Doberman for any other breed in the world. Yes she sheds, but all dogs do. She has short hair, and it isn't that much of a mess. She loves to play, and is really loyal. She also is GREAT around other animals. I socialized her at a very young age, and continued her whole life.

They still shed. I have two of them--they BOTH shed FAR less than a labrador or golden retriever, but they still shed. The higher generation labradoodles (F1b, and multigenerational ones) are little to no shed, but you have to find a good breeder, one who knows coat types.
