My husband wants a yorkshire terrier, but what do you suggest?

Yorkies can be nice pets, so can westies, scotties, and even dashounds, but what you have to remember that your cats might not take to it right away, best piece of advice, get a puppy that way it is used to being around cats, and will adjust over time if you get more cats.

It depends on what activity level you are looking for. I would say a shitzu, or even a mixed breed. You may want to avoid terriers since they do have a tendency to terrorize cats unless the were raised with them.

I have two cats as well and got a Schnoodle. She's so smart and the cats like her.
