in breeds in general there is a difference in maturity and when a dog reaches full growth. Many small breeds do not reach full size till approx 2 years of age, larger breeds may take longer on average. As there is no way to determine growth activity as siblings from the same litter may grow at different times in long slow spurts or short quick spurts. Though all may be the same size when fully grown, they may not be the same size at at 8 months or at one year. Wait til the dog reaches approx 2 years and you should see safely the size it will be. It is also not a good idea to assume the dogs size soley on the size of the dam and sire. It is very common for the dams or sires parents size to also play into the pups size when fully grown.

No I am not a Miniature Doberman, I was around 200 years before Karl Frederich Louis Doberman created the Dobie, and as for my friends the Manx cats, yes they are better at playing fetch than I am, I am a Miniature Pinscher.
