I just moved to VA. Somebody told me that I might have to register my Akita! Does anybody know if this is true and were would have to go to do that?

You can only register them if it's a purebred.

If you are talking about registering with the state the vet should do that for you.

Sorry I wasn't reading correctly....Usually dogs have to be registered with the county they live in...You can call your local Animal Control to find out where and how...You'll need proof of current vaccinations including rabies.
