Hello,
I recently adopted "Lady" from a rescue. She is an awesome dog, but I would like to get some opinions on what she might possibly be. The rescue labeled her as a boxer/lab mix, but she's too small for that cross. (She's about 43 pounds.) The closest ideas I've had are pit bull or pit bull cross, or something like a beagle/lab or boxer/beagle cross? She has the most beautiful, large brown eyes.

I see lab & pit in that order. if there were beagle in there, there would almost certainly be a white tip on the tail. I see no boxer at all.

my guess is she really sheds tho! lol

of course a shelter or rescue isn't going to lable a dog "pit" if they don't have to.

Hi! Thanks a lot for the reply... that sound about right-on, personality-wise and looks. Very true that rescues wouldn't want to label a dog "pitbull" unless they really had to! Might have scared me off if I had researched what I thought she was, first... but I'm extremely glad I got her... she's a gem.

as far as any vet records, licensing etc & for sure your home owners or renters insurance she is a mixed lab - period.
