Can anyone who has a pug tell me a little about the breed. I need a kind, gentle dog who is good with small children and not worry about nipping or biting!

I don't have a pug personally however I have several close friends who have them - and most have several of them. They simply love them. They are good with children if the children are taught to respect the dog and not abuse it. I would always advise supervising kids and pets however especially with the little ones.

what exactly is your defination of kind & gentle?

remember pugs have the bug eyes that can easily be injured & often have skin problems. they cannot stand hot or cold weather & all those cute little wrinkles need constant cleaning.
